Cosmetic dentist in Gig Harbor, Dr. Rioux was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and spent much of her childhood between Utah and Madison, Connecticut.
Her early years were spent exploring rocky beaches, tide pools, mountain trails and the high desert. Dr. Rioux’s passion is using her hands to create and restore natural health and beauty for each of her patients. In 1995, Dr. Rioux graduated from the University of Washington and was accepted into the University of Washington School of Dentistry. In 1996, she received a U.S. Navy’s dental officer scholarship. Dr. Rioux graduated from dental school in 1999. She then attended the U.S. Navy Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency course in Norfolk, Virginia.
Over the course of a year, Dr. Rioux received specialized training in oral surgery, root canal therapy, periodontal treatments, as well as crown and bridge work and aesthetic dentistry. She worked in private practice in Bainbridge Island for two and a half years before opening her dental practice which is helping residents of Gig Harbor and Port Orchard to create and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile.

In addition to being a leading cosmetic dentist in Gig Harbor, Dr. Rioux also served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence analyst from 1985 to 1989. As part of her training, she completed the Arabic language program at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Dr. Rioux’s duty stations included Norfolk, VA, Point Mugu Naval Air Station near Malibu, California and nearby Bremerton, Washington. While stationed at Point Mugu, Dr. Rioux pursued the extra training required and, with a stroke of good luck, became one of the few Navy Dental Officers to fly “backseat” in a U.S. Navy F-14 “Tomcat”. Wanting to return to western Washington, Dr. Rioux finished up her career as a Naval Officer in Bremerton. During Dr. Rioux’s military service, she was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and while in the U.S. Army, the highest rating for rifle marksmanship.
