Dentists (in Gig Harbor or anywhere) offer the best patient experience when supported by a caring, capable, and friendly team. We aim to exceed your expectations and guide you to a healthier mouth and body.
The Pacific Northwest has been my home for over 40 years! I grew up in Port Orchard and have lived in Gig Harbor for the last 20 years. I began my dental hygiene career in 1995 when I graduated from Pierce College. The best thing about my career is the opportunity to meet and interact with so many unique and awesome patients each and every day. After all these years, I still love and enjoy my job, and the quality of services that we provide are outstanding. I strive to make sure all of my patients have great experiences and are very comfortable.
One of the highlights of my career was a period of time that I had the privilege to volunteer at the Point Defiance Zoo where I cleaned many different animals' teeth, including polar bears!
Outside the office, I enjoy family time with my husband and two beautiful girls. We enjoy sports, traveling and exploring new areas, watching movies, and playing games.
Born and raised in rural Maine, I began my dental hygiene career in 2007 as a graduate of the University of New England in Portland, Maine. Since then, I have had the opportunity to live and work across the United States, calling the Pacific Northwest my “second” home since 2010.
I am passionate about a holistic approach to health and wellness, as well as the growing oral/systemic connection, and am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. I am a firm believer in an upstream approach to health and aim to provide my patients with comprehensive and conservative care backed by the latest research./p>
Outside of clinical practice and school, my husband and I are avid outdoor adventurers who can be found skiing, rock climbing, downhill mountain biking and paddleboarding throughout Washington, Oregon and British Columbia.
I was born and raised in Washington and absolutely love living in the Pacific Northwest. During career day my senior year of high school, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in dental hygiene. I graduated from the dental hygiene program at Yakima Valley College in 2005 and have loved my career every day since! I am passionate about patient education and making my patients feel as comfortable as possible while in the office.
When I'm not at the office, I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends, traveling, watching movies, and reading.
I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program from Clover Park Technical College in 1992. I always wanted to work in the health industry. I chose the dental profession because it would allow me to meet new people, help others learn about the importance of dental health, and build lasting relationships with patients. I try to make each and every experience a positive one for my patients.
I enjoy every aspect of my job, especially the group of women who I work with. We’ve all known each other for a long time, and they are very much like a second family. Dr. Rioux and the girls make coming to work an enjoyable thing!
Outside of being at the dental office in Gig Harbor, I’ve kept busy with my three sons. I also like to go to the movie theater, go on walks, and spend time with friends.
I was raised in Gig Harbor and graduated from Gig Harbor High School. I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Clover Park Technical College in 2005. Outside of the office, I enjoy time with my husband and our two kids. I love cooking, gardening, and spending time with friends!
My favorite part about being a dental assistant is having the opportunity to know my patients personally, as well as being able to treat their diverse dental needs. I enjoy the challenge of each new case and helping my patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. I graduated from The Annie Wright School. I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Bates Technical College in January 2015. I have always admired several aspects of the medical field, specifically in the dental industry. I like to educate and encourage people to maintain great health, and seeing the difference kids and adults feel after having treatment is extremely satisfying!
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, scuba diving (when the weather is warm!), and being creative in interior decorating.
I was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I grew up on a farm near Eatonville, Washington where I graduated from high school in 1995. I played many sports, raised baby calves, and showed horses. My parents still live in the house I grew up in.
After high school, I attended the Dental Assisting Program at Clover Park Technical College in 1997. I've been in dentistry for over 18 years. I've seen the dental industry come a long way within that time. The products we use today are so much healthier for your teeth and the techniques have become faster and more comfortable. I love meeting new people, seeing smiles change, and watching the anxious patient leave relieved and wanting to return. I love working for Dr. Rioux. She is very detailed and constantly on the cutting edge of dentistry. The office and team are inviting, friendly, and caring.
Outside the office, I have a 5-year-old little boy who keeps me busy along with two King Charles Cavalier puppies. I enjoy gardening, decorating, and traveling.
My dental career started in 1999 when I graduated from Bates Technical College as a certified dental assistant. I have had the opportunity to assist alongside extremely skilled and talented dentists for five years. Being offered to change my role to an Insurance Coordinator in 2004 was a wonderful opportunity that led me to my current role as an Office Administrator. I am currently an active member of the American Academy of Dental Office Managers. I love that dentistry is always evolving and advancing.
I am married with three beautiful children. If I am not being the taxi driver/cheerleader for one of my children's many athletic events, we are enjoying the outdoor life of the Pacific Northwest. I look forward to being a part of your wonderful experience with Dr. Rioux and our great staff.
‘‘My visit was great. The reception group welcomed me warmly and helped me feel comfortable. Carey has always been warm and welcoming and does a great job with my cleanings. Dr. Rioux has always been warm and compassionate in her care. All the staff have taken the time to explain what they suggest we do and how it would occur. Thanks to all of you!’’
